Form Meets Function

Engineered for Formula Stability and Brand Impact

A toothpaste tube is not a container — it is a barrier system.

  • Hold volatile actives — fluoride, peroxide, essential oils — at full strength for two to three years
  • Survive a warehouse in a hot climate without breaking down
  • Still feel considered in the customer’s hand

Get the packaging wrong and the formula fails on the shelf, however good the chemistry is. Compatibility is tested with our formulation team.

  • Barrier Integrity

Multi-layer tube technology preventing moisture loss, oxidation and flavour degradation, so the product you validated in the lab is the product the consumer squeezes out twelve months later.

  • Retail Readiness

High-definition printing and structural design engineered to stand out on crowded retail shelves, with carton footprints and barcodes specified for the retailers you are selling into.

  • Turnkey Integration

Seamlessly linking your custom formulation with primary packaging and outer cartons under one manufacturing roof — one brief, one quality system, one accountable partner.

Primary Packaging

Precision-Engineered Toothpaste Tubes

Each tube construction protects a formula differently. The comparison below is the short version of what our packaging engineers work through with you at specification stage — barrier level, shape memory, print surface and end-of-life route.

Aluminium barrier laminate toothpaste tube with a crimped tail standing upright

ABL

Aluminum Barrier Laminate

The industry standard for maximum barrier protection, built around a micro-thin aluminium core. The default choice for sensitive formulas, fluoride and intense whitening agents.

  • BarrierMaximum (foil core)
  • Best forFluoride, peroxide whitening
  • MemoryModerate

PBL

Plastic Barrier Laminate

Excellent “memory” — the tube bounces back to its original shape after every squeeze. Uses an EVOH barrier layer and gives the cleanest print surface for cosmetic positioning.

  • BarrierHigh (EVOH layer)
  • Best forGels, cosmetic positioning
  • MemoryExcellent

Aluminum

100% Aluminum Tubes

Highly requested for premium, vintage and apothecary brand positioning. Infinitely recyclable, with excellent barrier properties and that unmistakable metal weight in the hand.

  • BarrierMaximum (solid wall)
  • Best forPremium, apothecary lines
  • RecyclingInfinitely recyclable

Pumps & Jars

Alternative Formats

Airless pump dispensers for liquid-gel toothpastes, and glass or PET jars for the fast-growing tablet and powder formats — sourced, compatibility tested and filled on the same site.

Sustainability

Sustainable Oral Care Packaging Solutions

Retailers increasingly score brands on packaging, not just formula. We keep a working portfolio of lower-impact materials that still pass the same barrier and compatibility testing as conventional laminates — so you do not have to choose between a sustainability claim and a stable product. Our wider sustainability work covers materials and end-of-life.

  • PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) Plastics

Laminate tubes containing up to 50% recycled material to meet corporate sustainability targets, with documentation to support the claim.

  • Bio-Based Resins (Sugarcane)

Carbon-neutral PE tubes derived from renewable sugarcane rather than petroleum, with the same processing behaviour as standard PE.

  • Mono-Material (HDPE) Tubes

Designed for standard kerbside recycling streams, typically paired with compatible HDPE caps so the whole pack enters one waste flow.

  • FSC-Certified Outer Cartons

Secondary packaging sourced from responsibly managed forests and printed with soy-based inks, with chain-of-custody paperwork available.

Closures

Custom Closures for the Perfect Dispense

The closure is the part of the pack your customer touches every single day. Cap style, orifice diameter and seal type are specified together with the tube, then trialled on the filling line before a production run is booked.

Cap Styles

  • Standard screw caps in a range of diameters and rib profiles.
  • Convenient flip-top caps for one-handed use.
  • Custom-tooled octagonal or stand-up caps that let the tube stand vertically on the vanity.

Orifice Sizing

  • Precision-sized openings matched to the viscosity and rheology of your formula.
  • Narrow profiles for fluid gels, wider profiles for dense pastes.
  • Dispense rate verified during the pilot fill, not guessed on paper.

Tamper-Evident Seals

  • Induction-sealed foil barriers across the orifice before the cap goes on.
  • Visible evidence of first opening for consumer safety.
  • Supports the YMYL compliance position of therapeutic oral care products.

Decoration

Standout Decoration & Retail Cartons

This is where brand identity becomes a physical object. We produce the outer carton and the decorated tube as one matched set, so the colour on the box is the colour on the shelf.

Custom Folding Cartons

Retail cartons sized to your tube, with artwork checked against regulatory text requirements before the plates are cut.

Multi-Pack Bundles

Shrink-wrapped or banded twin and triple packs, plus club-store formats packed to the retailer’s case specification.

Retail PDQ Trays

Product Display Quarter-Pallet trays and counter units that go from the delivery pallet straight onto the store shelf.

Printing & Finishes — Tubes and Cartons

01

HD Flexo & Offset

High-definition flexographic and offset printing up to 8 colours, with process and spot colour matching.

02

Silkscreening

Raised, tactile text and logos that read as texture as well as print.

03

Foil Stamping

Hot and cold foil in gold, silver and holographic finishes for premium accents.

04

Coatings

Soft-touch matte, high-gloss or spot-UV finishes to set the tactile impression of the pack.

Quality Assurance

Rigorous Packaging Compatibility Testing

Flavour systems — mint and wintergreen in particular — can attack certain plastics and adhesives if the pack is not matched to the formula. Every pack we run goes through the protocol below before it is approved for production.

Compatibility & Stability Testing

The finished formula is stored inside the chosen tube at elevated temperature so any interaction between product, laminate and ink shows up in the lab rather than on a retailer’s shelf.

  • MethodFilled tubes stored at 40°C / 75% RH, plus freeze-thaw cycling
  • Duration12 weeks minimum, aligned with the stability programme
  • Pass criteriaNo delamination, swelling, odour pickup or chemical leaching

Burst & Seal Testing

The crimped tail-seal and the side seam are the two places a tube fails. Both are pressure tested so the pack survives filling, shipping and being squeezed in a bathroom.

  • MethodPressurised burst test on the crimped tail and side seam
  • DurationSet-up approval plus sampling per production batch
  • Pass criteriaNo seal failure or leakage below the specified burst pressure

Customer-supplied components follow exactly the same protocol. If a tube you provide does not pass compatibility or seal testing, we will not fill it — we will tell you what failed and what alternative would work.
